Mortgage rates are up, but they are still low in comparison to the past.

Interest rates went up this week to 4.27% for 30 year fixed mortgage ,on December 15. They are up from previous lower rates, but they are still historically low. Take a look at where we have been in the past. The below chart will put it in perspective for us all.

For a home value of $250,000 that is only a mortgage difference of approx. $44 a month.
