This week’s Trends…Change

Change is Inevitable

It is hard. Not many people like it. The kids are back in school and the schedules change. You have a new job and your whole world changes. You drop something on your favorite pants, and you have to change those too, hopefully!

They say…

“Change your attitude, Change your life”

So maybe change can be good! I help people find news homes all of the time.  I see how hard this major change can be for everyone involved, even the pets. Moving families to new neighborhoods, new streets, new friends. It is a very special thing! And at the end of it all, the change is good. But it does not go without it's trials.

Dorothy M. Neddermeyer, PhD, Life Coach , Hypnotherapist and Author, of 101 Great Ways To Improve Your Life says,

“When you embrace change you can focus on the strength and courage you need to persevere through the uncertainties. While change often creates positive results, you might think change will overwhelm you or that change will take you in the wrong direction. Ask yourself this question. What is the worst case scenario if I make this change? If the worst case scenario is 'nothing,' you will be disappointed or the end result takes longer, then you are one step closer to achieving your goal. Achieving a goal is a process of trial and error experimentation. The 'failed' experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiment that ultimately 'works.' As Thomas Edison reportedly stated, "I have not failed. I've found 100 ways that won't work."

Remember that resisting change causes struggle. When you consistently embrace change the process of change becomes a conscious flow toward your goals rather than holding yourself back. When you feel stronger and more optimistic about the vicissitudes and consequences of change, you can release your hesitation and allow change to transform your success rate. You will be thrilled with what embracing change brings to you and your goal achievement process.”

So, Change your attitude!

Change your Pants

And change your life!

Change can be a really good thing, if you let it.
