As we brush the cobwebs off of our bathing suits it is very important to feel as great as we look! Some people are born with the gift of confidence, they hold their shoulders back and look great no matter what. The rest of us…we have to work on it.
It takes a lot of confidence to be a Victoria Secret model, for instance –stop laughing…it does! They bare it all. And I promise you they are not drinking as much wine as I do on a hot summer night. So, to get that confidence that we see in magazines. We can take a few lessons from their menu. Gluten free is all the rage and then there is the standard rules: five (5) meals a day and the basics… water and exercise.
Because I had completely forgotten these, myself, the other day. I thought I would take this opportunity to remind us all, thanks to my sister, Marion, for getting me back on track!
A few days of sticking to leafy greens, low fat and no gluten and you will feel like that 6 pack is closer and closer. Throw in a 30 minute swim or a run and you are golden. Come to a Cross fit class, http://crossfitdecatur.com/, and you are in the thick my friend, in no time!
Here are some things to get you started. We all need reminders. And these are good ones….
1) Keep a food journal.
2) Don't skip meals. Breakfast /snack/lunch/ snack/dinner- no mas
3) Drink your water, yup 8 glasses of 8 oz.. Min!!
4) Watch your portion sizes. One serving size. Not the oversized.
5) Eat high fiber foods. Lots of leafy greens
